Albanian Spaç Prison: Creating a Digital Reconstruction of the Spaç Historical Site Public

Cultural Heritage without Borders - Albania (CHwB) is a non-governmental organization focused on creating a civic space for deliberation about cultural heritage. Within Albania, this specifically includes a reckoning with totalitarian rule and its consequences. In a team of two, the group designed and implemented a series of features into an existing model of an Albanian Spaç Prison digital reconstruction project. The project’s goal is to draw attention to the Spaç Prison as a historical site since there is a disconnect between older generations recounting the historical traumas experienced and newer generations understanding the significance of the site and history. The implemented features were aimed to make the model more aesthetically pleasing and more compact, as well as to improve the user interface (UI).
