High efficiency class D audio amplifier design

Public

This project involves the design of a Class D audio amplifier with at least 90% efficiency. We will be using a PWM MOSFET driver designed by our sponsor, the Unitrode Integrated Circuit Corporation. Challenges include the design of a switching power stage to drive a 4-ohm load, a controls analysis to verify the stability of system, fabrication and testing a printed circuit board, and providing excellent audio quality for a wide range of audio signal conditions.
