New design and rehabilitation of the Miller Street Bridge over the Chicopee River

Public

The Miller Street Bridge located in Wilbraham, MA was built in 1939. It is a steel Warren truss bridge that spans over 400 feet across the Chicopee River. Deterioration of the bridge's structural components over the years has introduced concerns for the Town Engineer. New bridge designs and methods of rehabilitation for the existing structure are possible solutions to these concerns. This project incorporates engineering design work, construction cost estimates, and constructability considerations for two alternative solutions.
