Structural health monitoring by wavelet approach

Public

A method of analyzing building earthquake response based on the wavelet method was proposed. The method was tested using a mathematical model. The model was a second order differential equation as the model, where the stiffness of the structure could vary with time, solved under the Runge-Kutta numerical method. The solution data was used to validate the continuous wavelet transform based analysis technique. The algorithm created successfully reconstructed the stiffness loss in the model under a general visual inspection.
