Localization of the HFR1 protein in Arabidopsis thaliana using immunohistochemical detection methods

The project's goal was to localize the HFR1 in the Arabidopsis thaliana seedling using immunohistochemical detection methods. HFR1 is a nuclear localized protein that affects light responses in the seedling. Tissue printing was a crude method used to roughly determine the conditions and seedling portion that would provide the greatest abundance of HFR1 protein. Microtome sections of the seedlings were then used with immunofluorescence to attempt to localize the HFR1 protein more precisely on a microscopic level.
