Personal inertial navigation system

Public

This project proposes that personal inertial navigation is possible using an array of low coast redundant sensors. To allow future development, a fully integrated hardware platform was created utilizing 10 sensors. A communications and analysis application was written; allowing proposed algorithms to be tested on data collected using the hardware. Five software filtering algorithms were written proving that low cost sensors can return accurate inertial data.
