Understanding Shor's quantum factoring algorithm

Öffentlich

This project focused on understanding how Shor's Quantum Factoring Algorithm worked in order to create an educational simulation of it on a PC running Maple. Shor's Algorithm is meaningful not only in the world of encryption, but as a harbinger of the heretofore unimaginable power of quantum computers. Once we completed the development and writing of the program, we were able to experiment with it in order to learn more about how a quantum computer and Shor's Algorithm work.
