Design of a torque-limiting snowblade binding

Público

Recent increases in the popularity and use of risers open new and promising opportunities for improvements in binding design. This project exploits the growing theory of "height is good" along with the additional space created by the use of these risers to design and test a new lift plate/binding system for skiboards. Using a cam-follower mechanism, our design implements a torque limiting feature in hopes of addressing the growing concern of skiboard injury rate reduction without making major changes to traditional binding strategies.
