Creation of a maximum length sequence analyzer

Public

Many acoustical analysis methods have been developed over the past decade. Of these, Maximum Length Sequences is one of the least often implemented yet most powerful. This report contains an investigation of all the components necessary for implementation of a basic MLS analyzer including signal generation, transmission, recording, and analysis. A preliminary investigation into processing methods and comparative studies with existing software analyzers is included to establish a proof of concept for the demonstration MLS analyzer.

  • This report represents the work of one or more WPI undergraduate students submitted to the faculty as evidence of completion of a degree requirement. WPI routinely publishes these reports on its website without editorial or peer review.
