Morgan Stanley Dean Witter uses leased lines to transmit data between themselves and their clients. The objective of this project is to understand the installation process used to setup leased lines and identify where the major bottlenecks are occurring as well as finding alternative solutions to the use of leased lines. The findings have been divided into two main sections; the first part analyzes best practices on the installation of leased lines and the second part provides alternative solutions for data transmission.
