Alumni Stadium is home to the WPI Engineers' eight varsity athletic teams, numerous intramural/club contests, and physical education courses. Because of the continually excessive field use, the playing surface desperately needs resurfacing. With the school growing in size and athletics becoming more popular, the capacity of the grandstands must be increased. After a survey of the existing site and conditions, we designed a new stadium that compliments the unique existing landscape, while continuing the architectural trends of Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
