Automated prosthetic wrist control scheme

This project addresses the need for better prosthetic technology through the development of a fully automated prosthetic wrist. It is intended for those amputees who have lost their upper limb above or below the elbow. A general procedure for the design and construction of such a wrist, possessing two degrees of freedom, is described based on the current literature, and exact project specifications concerning size, weight, power, and operation. With the aid of task specifications, available technology, and cosmetic considerations, the design of a fully functioning prosthetic wrist that is pleasing in appearance and compatible with existing technology is profiled.
