The goal of this project was to evaluate the department and see if there were any improvements that could be made. The project plan was to reduce non value added steps, reduce travel distance of products through the department, reduce employee movement through the department, develop better flow lines of the product through the department, and make added value steps more efficient. Production plan analysis was used to analyze the department and come out with a new department layout design.
