Design of dragonoid robot

Public

A dragonfly robot was designed and built with the ability to move and fly with minimum human intervention. Effort was made to understand the dragonfly's basic sensory organs and their correlation to motion. Designed in Pro Engineer, the robot assembly consisted of: (i) a scotch-yoke mechanism to flap the wings, (ii) twist mechanisms to control the angle of attack of the wings, and (iii) a microcontroller to receive sensory input and control the motion of the robot.
