Pulsed laser detector modifications

Public

We developed a new pulsed laser detector circuit board for use in airborne missile defense technology. Previous pulse boards utilized a chip that is no longer in production, necessitating this new design. The pulse board accepts input from 64 photodiodes, collecting data and notifying the rest of the system when one of two types of laser pulses (Beacon Illuminator or Track Illuminator) has been detected. Our design's main subsystems use switched integrators and transimpedance amplifiers.
