In a time where digital media dominates all other forms of media, traditional broadcast radio stations have been struck by a loss in viewership and opportunities for revenue. WICN, a local non-profit radio station, now relies on donations and their membership program to keep their operations running. To help boost their viewership and revenue, WICN has prioritized renovating their website to fit the requirements of the Google Ad Grant. An engaging site tailored to WICN’s demographic would also increase both user retention and ease of use, which is crucial to attracting potential members. This paper provides a detailed explanation of the steps taken to improve WICN’s website design along with suggestions on how to maximize their chances of receiving a Google Ad Grant.
