Efficiency of beverage carbonation is a known concern at Gallo's Modesto processing facility. The purpose of this investigation was to identify problem areas within the current carbonation process, and develop recommendations to overcome these problems. Problem areas were identified using research, observations, discussions, and experimentation. To rectify these problems, a series of procedural changes, equipment modifications, and continued research recommendations were developed and evaluated for effectiveness. These recommendations, if implemented, will significantly improve the effectiveness of the beverage carbonation operations.
