In this report, a more efficient technique to produce mAbs from Chinese Hamster Ovary cells in fed-batch systems is presented. A feed-forward control mechanism was created with BioXpert. The results are not conclusive due to lack of replicates to demonstrate reproducibility. If they are correct, it may be concluded that feed-forward control system was successfully implemented on the fed-batch bioreactors via BioXpert. Titer results from BioXpert experiments yielded higher results than manual feed-forward and similar to previous feedback experiments. For future work, it is recommended to repeat BioXpert feed-forward experiment with two or more replicates maintaining same cell line and using more frequent feeding schedule by keeping total daily feeding amount the same.
