Design, implementation and testing of an MRI surface coil

Magnetic Resonance Imaging is an exciting and truly interdisciplinary field with a niche for electrical engineering. The design of radio frequency coils is one of the key electrical engineering uses. The focus of this project is the design and implementation of in-quadrature drive low-noise RF receiving coils. The quadrature surface coil prototype built as a result of this project will be useful as a benchmark for future designs.
