Feasibility of Improving Sanitation Along Trekking Routes in Himachal Pradesh
PúblicoThis report explores the feasibility of improving waste management at trekking sites in Himachal Pradesh. Through stakeholder interviews, on-site data collection, and map generation, we were able to compare different sites and develop benchmarks for ideal sanitation practices. Our data shows that the region's current sanitation systems are insufficient to support the increasing number of visitors. Based on our findings, we developed a set of recommendations which focuses on improving waste education and minimizing unsustainable consumption.
