Digital literacy and online citizenship are becoming increasingly important topics for upcoming youth in the city of Windhoek, Namibia. Our team worked with Physically Active Youth (PAY), a not for profit organization, with the goal of developing the "PAY Digital Citizenship Curriculum" for youth in the Katutura community. We researched important online content areas and strategies for teaching the curriculum to provide a contextually relevant and learner-centered experience for the students. The prepared lesson materials were then presented in the PAY classroom to assess implementation efficiency and inform future revisions. Additionally, our team worked with several instructors at PAY and the Namibian Ministry of ICT to ensure the curriculum’s future sustainability.
