Eastman Gelatin Corporation is the primary supplier of gelatin to its parent company, the Eastman Kodak Corporation. The goal of this project was to identify an alternative filtration process that would reduce operating costs while maintaining the current level of gelatin quality. Standards were established for the existing filtration process by completing a baseline evaluation through analyzing the effects of the filtration equipment on key process variables. Possible filtration alternatives were researched and recommended to Eastman Gelatin.
