Öffentlich Deposited

Perhaps exacerbated by the pandemic, there has been growing public attention on mental health concerns, including an increased risk for suicide. This study, lead by Dr. Edwin Boudreaux in the Emergency Department at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center, involves evaluation emergency department protocols including screening designed to identify patients at risk for suicide. Study results will provide insight into the use of telehealth intervention at the emergency department level for behavioral health care and suicide risk evaluation. The study remains ongoing, and eventual outcomes will be used to inform best practices in emergency departments across the country.
