This project investigates the cost-value attributes for a selected number of construction alternatives for a college educational office and classroom facility. The project scope encompasses different disciplines within the building industry including structural design, construction management, green design, and fire protection. Specific activities include a structural design based on analysis of different structural systems, foundation design, a cost analysis of alternative methods/materials for construction, green design alternatives, and a fire protection system design.
