This paper will discuss some aspects of the Earth's space debris field. More specifically, this paper will assess the potential risk caused by this junk to existing satellites. It will also discuss a few of the incidents in which some of this debris has made it back to terrestrial Earth, and the impending threat that can be caused by such a circumstance. The paper concludes with possible solutions to the problem, a problem more extreme than some people may think.
