Power line proximity alarm

Public

The purpose of this project was to create a power line proximity alarm to serve as a safety device for the operation of boomed industrial vehicles and equipment. The two-part system consisted of a sensor unit and a base unit, connected by a wireless radio-frequency link. The sensor detects the magnitude of the electric field and transmits this information to the base station, which then alerts the operator of a potential electrocution hazard with an audible alarm.
