Image recognition of cartoon characters

Public

Various techniques of computer vision and image processing are discussed. Color-based recognition techniques are applied to images of cartoon characters in an attempt to identify the characters depicted. Multiple aspects of the implementation are evaluated for their effect on the system's overall ability to correctly identify characters. Although a fully functioning and robust system is not presented, this project addresses the strengths and weaknesses of the techniques used, and how they may be applied to the problem domain.
