Programmable 50A switch mode power supply

Public

This project involves the design of a power supply for a next-generation microprocessor application. The power supply will generate a 1.1-1.85V digitally controllable output capable of supplying up to 50A with a transient of 50A/us, while maintaining less than +-80mV of ripple and 80% efficiency. This project focuses on power electronics, microelectronics, control theory, PCB design, and power MOSFETs. This project was conducted under the sponsorship of NECAMSID, with project specifications supplied by Texas Instruments, formerly Unitrode.
