The purpose of this project is to assemble an information reference source that details how to design, build and operate a small home recording studio. This reference manual includes acoustic design principles, specific techniques including microphones and mixing, studio procedures, legal issues, and price guides for equipment. It also contains a well rounded assortment of works referenced to aid with specific details should the reader desire to learn more about a specific aspect of the project.

  • This report represents the work of one or more WPI undergraduate students submitted to the faculty as evidence of completion of a degree requirement. WPI routinely publishes these reports on its website without editorial or peer review.
