Flow control of coupled tanks

Public

This project encompassed the design and construction of a multi-model flow control system. The system included water tanks, valves and sensors, and a controller. Fluid mechanics analysis dictated the specifications of the system components. The computer-based controller objective was to ensure the flow through the tanks remained at equilibrium regardless of external disturbances. The system was extensively tested from both controls engineering and fluid mechanics perspectives. Ultimately this project was designed for educational use, specifically fluid mechanics and controls engineering courses.
