Design of a micro aerial vehicle using a cambered plate

Público

The goal of this project was to design. fabricate, and flight test a remotely piloted Micro Aerial Vehicle, to compete in the 2002 International MAV Competition. MAVs are aircraft with a maximum linear dimension of 12 inches and operates with a Reynolds number less than 250,000. The design was based on experimental wind tunnel data and historical data from other MAVs. The design was constructed using "off the shelf" components mounted on a cambered plate wing with 22 cm span.
