MAMA interface design

The Multi Anode Microchannel Array (MAMA) detector, currently being housed at the DGEF, is a sensor that acquires images from within the Ultraviolet Spectrum. This Major Qualifying Project (MQP) involved designing and implementing a new computer interface to the MAMA using modern hardware and software. The final system, based on a high-speed parallel interface to a PC, was coupled with a new LabVIEW monitor system and provided Goddard scientists with a more efficient and versatile interface to the DGEF/MAMA detector.
