DNA profiling.

open in viewerThis paper describes the process of DNA profiling, and its use in forensics and the courtroom. Beginning with the structure of DNA, it describes forensic procedures used, and DNA collection and extraction from samples. Also presented are some of the problems faced with presenting DNA as evidence in the courtroom, and a discussion of some of the landmark cases. It concludes with a discussion of the future possibilities of DNA profiling, and how it may be improved.
