TY - RPRT A1 - Wirth, Scott Douglas AB - Conjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA) effects on body composition was investigated in frogs, where fat is stored in a single location (fat body). Initial fat volume in living frogs was measured with Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI). Eight male frogs were fed crickets, supplemented with 1% (by weight) of either olive oil or CLA for 6 weeks. MRI determination of fat volumes did not correlate well with direct post mortem measurements. CLA supplemented frogs showed loss in fat by both measurement methods.
