Creating a suture assist device

Public

A semi-novel forceps surgical tool was designed and manufactured to assist a doctor with limited strength and dexterity in his non-dominant hand. Input from previous MQP attempts and the client were taken into consideration when designing the device. The project team utilized Pro/Engineer software to make a computer model of the design. The device was successfully machined using model drawings and assembly files. Testing for efficacy of the device was successful.
