Although there are living facilities meant for upperclassmen undergraduate students here at WPI, there is not currently a dormitory specifically intended for graduate students. This MQP is the design for such a dormitory. The LRFD method was used to design a building with a parking garage in the basement level for students, a floor of commercial space open for lease with some parking spaces for customers on the ground floor, five floors of graduate student living space, and a restaurant on the upper level. The design calculations and final member sizes were determined.
