The facade of the Spanish inquisition revealed and its roots uncovered

Public

This Major Qualifying Project is a survey of the conflicts between the Jews, and the new and old Christians before the establishment of the Spanish Inquisition (1478) and during it. Through this investigation, the charge of heresy among the conversos is exposed as a facade for both the establishment of the Inquisition and the expulsion of the Jews (1492). With this, the real motives behind the Inquisition are uncovered, namely social-economic and racism, which incorporated national unity.
