Digital literacies and technology planning -- GWCF

Public

Digital literacy research has previously focused on individual technology use. In this project, I observed a technology planning group at a nonprofit to see how they used digital literacies. I conducted life history interviews and took participant observation notes of the employees at the Greater Worcester Community Foundation. I found that a) people use previous literacies to cope with technology, b) people turn to internal and external expert sources, and c) the process of technology planning changes digital literacies.
