Aerosol delivery of cells for tissue engineering

Public

The goal of this project was to design an aerosol delivery system for tracheal cells. We chose a solution of Pluronic F-127 as the delivery media based on its gelling properties. We proved that chondrocytes could be nebulized in a solution of 14% Pluronic F-127. We also showed that the cells survived nebulization with viability of 69% with the potential for 88% viability. We also started a preliminary design for a delivery system for the cells.
