This project describes the development of a concept design for a combined 55L and 500L mammalian cell bioreactor. Three designs were proposed and compared based on their ability to meet the specifications needed to grow mammalian cells in the separate reactors. A complete background exploration of mammalian cell bioreactors was followed by the concept development and choice of an ideal combined reactor.
