The Massachusetts State Police IT Unit is currently utilizing an evidence tracking system that keeps track of evidence with a paper system. Unfortunately it does not allow for adequate tracking of evidence, since paper forms can be lost or filled out incorrectly. After analyzing the needs of the staff, the team designed and implemented a custom web-based evidence tracking system using technologies such as Active Server Pages and SQL Server.
