Hydrodynamic cavitation catalyst

The main goal of this study was to determine if the hydrodynamic cavitational equipment could produce high phase purity and control the grain sizes of the complex metal oxides by changing the orifice sizes. The synthesis of complex metal oxide La.Sr.Fe.O., -BiMoO, and -BiMoO were examined to determine whether high phase purity could be obtained and whether nanostructured grains could be formed which varied by different proecess parameters. The catalysts were synthesized using different methods such as acoustic cavitation, hydrodynamic cavitation (CaviMax and CaviPro), and classical co-precipitation. The catalysts were characterized using X-ray diffraction (RXD). Through this study, the new hydrodynamic cavitation synthesis did not change the grain sizes of the synthesized nanostructured perovskite catalysts and significantly changed the grain sizes of synthesized nanostructured bismuth molybdate catalysts.
