Setup reduction for small job shops

Public

The focus of any manufacturing company is to maximize profits. Our objective was to reduce the setup time for the machining of discrete parts. By reducing setup time a company reduces the amount of time it takes a part to flow through the entire shop floor therefore increasing profits. For each discrete part we established current and future state value stream mappings, designed each part in Pro Engineer and created the G-codes necessary for manufacturing.
