open in viewerAcademic research projects have been developing solutions to address challenges that were brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic. Through these projects, we question how ethical concerns impacted the development of solutions for COVID-19, particularly looking for solutions made for the healthcare industry. Through semi-structured interviews, textual analysis, and meta-analysis this research was able to address the priorities of engineers in the context of the pandemic. This research helps to highlight the future of academic research, development, and response during and post pandemics.
