Improving workplace safety is a growing concern in industries such as mining, transportation, and construction. Due to their use of heavy equipment, the implementation of Impairment Detection Technologies (IDTs) is crucial to detect impairment in workers. However, the adoption of IDTs has been challenging due to various barriers. This report discusses the importance of IDTs enhancing workplace safety and the challenges organizations face in implementing them. Concluding with recommendations on how organizations can overcome these challenges to improve workplace safety.
