Development of a CLARiiON fibre channel device driver for Linux

Public

Modern applications, such as high-end databases and multimedia applications are placing higher bandwidth demands on storage devices. Currently, the best choice for both performance and reliability is a Redundant Array of Inexpensive Disks (RAID). CLARiiON, one of the leading developers of high-end RAID devices, is seeking to deploy Linux on their servers as an alternative to DG/UX, their in-house version of UNIX. In this project we have begun to implement a Fibre Channel RAID driver for Linux.
