A lunar program is one of the goals of the 21st century. Over the past decades many plans were developed by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) as well as Europe, Japan, China, and India on space exploration. As a part of these interesting developments a study has been conducted on "What a Lunar base would look like." This report describes a self-sustainable base for 10 people over the course of 20 years, based on current technological advances. The report outlines the major phases that lead to the establishment of such a permanent base, namely the construction of the space station, the construction of the lunar base, and its final self-sustained operations. The establishment of the lunar base not only will enhance and prove human abilities but also it will help solving world problems, such as energy shortage and competition over scarce resources.
