The Reduction of Plastic Waste in the Ocean Public
Downloadable Contentopen in viewer
Thailand is the sixth biggest contributor to ocean pollution in the world. Plastic pollution threatens marine ecosystems, coastal tourism, and human health. After collecting data in Krabi schools, we found that there is a correlation between the school’s focus on raising plastic pollution awareness and students’ waste management practices. We developed a virtual booklet for distribution to schools in Krabi, which provides educational materials on the detrimental effects of plastic pollution and teaches proper plastic waste management.
