open in viewerMethods of human swarm interaction are becoming increasingly prevalent in academic literature. Recent approaches have studied how augmented reality applications can facilitate control of robotic swarms. However, studies suggest that robotic swarm systems can overload the operator due to the large number of robots involved. We developed a novel multi-user, head-mounted, augmented reality application, deployed on the Magic Leap One. Our application allows operators to distribute responsibilities among each other when controlling robotic swarms in an immersive and intuitive way. Furthermore, using our modular architecture, new methods of multi-user swarm control can be introduced and evaluated quickly.
