Structural design of Stoeckel Hall

This project presents the structural design of a four-story building addition located in New Haven, CT. The design includes gravity system and lateral, which includes the main wind force resisting systems and seismic analysis and design. The building consists of a steel frame with a composite concrete/metal deck slab. The structural finish is masonry blocks and the architectural finish is limestone. The International Building Code 2003 (IBC 2003) is the reference code, in addition to the CT Supplement to the IBC Code and ASCE 7-02.
